Angelo
Kanis was born June 5, 1961, the third child of four,
in Bellwood, Illinois. Angelo attended Lincoln Elementary
School in Bellwood.
Sports
was the main interest of the Kanis family. Angelo
started playing pee-wee baseball for the Cubs at the
age of 8. The following year he played for the Mets
and later for the Red Sox in Little League.
He began playing football at the age of 9 for the
Packers of Bellwood and later played for the Proviso
West HS Panthers of Hillside, IL until his graduation
in June 1979.
Fall
of 1979 Angelo attended Triton College in River Grove,
IL where he recieved his Associates Degree in Business
Administration.
In
1988 Angelo began a 13 year career in the Auto Finance
industry working for Mercury Finance in Chicago. Moving
west in 1993, he transfered to a new Mercury Finance
branch in Las Vegas, NV until he left in 1995 to join
Sunstar Acceptance as a Branch Manager. When Sunstar
closed in 1997 he returned to Mercury Finance until
2002 when the company was sold and eventually closed.
October
2002 found Angelo beginning a new career with QC Financial
as an area manager for the state of Wisconsin.
Back
in Las Vegas he is enjoying his career returning to
Auto finance.
